Easily grown summer flowering allium with deeply keeled deep green leaves. The leaves persist through the flowering period. Very hardy and tolerant of acid soils, though does need moist conditions to thrive. From Eastern Russia and grown in Siberia as Mouse Garlic and salted for winter use. The flowers are not very pungent and are very attractive to a great range of insects including bees. Small clumps are supplied for planting
