Astrantia Claret is dark flowered with leaves of a dark hue. These are supplied as well established plants from 1 litre pots.

Planting Instructions

Ideal for a well prepared moisture retentive soil, these will thrive in a woodland garden, on a stream bank or in a moist border, where they will produce mounds of soft-lobed foliage with taller flower stems. For full sun or partial shade and best planted about 5" deep and 12-18"(30-45cm) apart. Cut back by 2/3 after first flowering, and feed to ensure a second flush of flowers later in the year. Water well on planting and in very dry periods in the first year. Dark flowers with darker leaves in May-July. 12-18".
