A hardy but uncommon native of Britain and Europe that is incredibly long-lasting in flower. It prefers a free draining soil and a sunny aspect. The bright blue flowers are held on a fine wiry stem between August and October while the narrow linear leaves are produced in the Spring but die back before the flowers emerge. Increasing it from seed is not difficult - though it takes some time to achieve flowering size.

Planting Instructions

Needs a sunny spot and well drained soil, 3" (8cm) deep and 4" (10cm) apart.
