Glossy Bronze green foliage with masses of creamy white flowers throughout the early to mid summer months.
The best placement for Astilbe's is in a partial shaded aspect, along with soil that is moisture retentive. They can tolerate full sun, but they must be kept well watered, as astilbe does not like to be dry for any length of time
With this in mind, if it is warm the division would benefit for being soaked in water for 3-4 hours prior to planting
Plenty of space should be given to the bare root when planting to allow space for the plant to thrive - I would suggest around 2' (60cm) from any other plant in the border. Dig a generous sized hole, with the crown just below the soil surface, then backfill. Water in well, and ensure the plant has plenty of water in its first season to allow it to establish
Flowers May-July
Height 20” (50cm)
