Erythronium dens canis

The European Dogs Tooth Violet with magically mottled leaves, often with brown and purple markings. The flowers are pale pink through to lilac or purple. They benefit from good spring light but ideally with shade from about April. 

Planting Instructions

Erythronium dens canis bulbs should be planted 2-3" (5-8cm) deep and 3-4" (8-10cm) apart in a cool, humus rich, well-drained position and will benefit from dappled shade in the spring and a drier rest in deeper shade in the summer.
