Wild populations of English Bluebells are nearly all violet-blue, but rarely white flowered plants occur and it is from those that these derive. They will stand out in a sea of blue. These will always stay white and will increase below ground, though their seedlings may well be blue.

Planting Instructions

Hyacinthoides non-scripta alba bulbs should be planted 4" (10cm) deep and 4" (10cm) apart (or for bigger areas 15 bulbs per sq ft). It tolerates damp conditions but needs to be grown in dappled shade to thrive. Self seeding though their seedlings will almost certainly be blue.
