Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant bulbs in autumn, from September to November, before the first hard frost sets in.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. These low-growing tulips are ideal for containers, rock gardens, edges of borders, or anywhere you want a pop of early colour close to the ground.

How to Plant:

• Depth: Plant bulbs 10–12 cm (4–5 inches) deep.
• Spacing: Space bulbs 5–8 cm (2–3 inches) apart.
• Postion: Plant with the pointed tip facing up.

Watering:
Water after planting to help settle the soil. In winter, natural rainfall is usually sufficient.

Aftercare Tips:

• Deadhead flowers after blooming, but allow the foliage to die back naturally—this nourishes the bulb for next spring.
• Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring as leaves emerge, especially in pots.
• In very wet or heavy soils, consider lifting and storing bulbs once foliage has yellowed.

Top Tip:
For maximum impact, plant in generous clusters or patterns. The short stems of ‘Little Rascals’ make them excellent for exposed or windy spots and child-friendly garden spaces where their vibrant colours will delight.
