Renowned for its exceptional fragrance and vibrant colour, Narcissus 'Martinette' is one of the finest Tazetta Daffodils (RHS Division 8). Producing clusters of elegant flowers on each stem, this award-winning variety brings both beauty and perfume to the spring garden.
Each sturdy stem carries 3–6 beautifully scented blooms, with rich golden-yellow petals surrounding small, cup-shaped deep orange trumpets. The striking contrast between the warm golden perianth and glowing orange centres creates a cheerful display that brightens borders, containers and patios throughout mid to late spring.
Originally bred from Mediterranean Tazetta narcissus, 'Martinette' combines the sweet fragrance of its ancestors with excellent garden performance and long-lasting flowers. Its intoxicating perfume makes it one of the very best daffodils for cutting, filling the home with the unmistakable scent of spring.
Compact yet vigorous, 'Martinette' is perfect for borders, patio pots and naturalising in sunny, well-drained areas. It also performs exceptionally well in containers, where its clusters of flowers can be appreciated up close.
A truly outstanding daffodil that offers vibrant colour, wonderful fragrance and dependable performance year after year.
