A truly captivating variety, Tulipa 'Moonblush' is an elegant Lily-flowered Tulip that delights with its remarkable colour-changing blooms. As the flowers open, their long, slender, pointed petals gracefully flare outwards, creating the classic goblet shape that makes Lily-flowered tulips so distinctive.
The blooms begin in vibrant shades of warm orange before gradually transforming through glowing golden-yellow tones, finally developing soft salmon-pink highlights as they mature. This ever-changing display ensures that no two days in the garden are quite the same, making 'Moonblush' a fascinating focal point throughout its flowering season.
Awarded the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, 'Moonblush' is recognised for its outstanding garden performance, reliability and exceptional beauty. The elegant flowers are held on strong stems, making them equally at home in borders, patio containers and spring bouquets, where they provide excellent cut flowers.
Plant in groups for maximum impact, where the shifting colours and graceful blooms will add warmth, movement and sophistication to the late spring garden.
When to Plant:
Plant Tulip bulbs in autumn, ideally from October to December, once the soil has cooled. This encourages strong root growth and helps reduce the risk of tulip diseases.
Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil. Tulips are ideal for borders, patio containers, raised beds and cutting gardens. Avoid areas where water collects during winter.
How to Plant:
Watering:
Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil. Once established, tulips generally require very little additional watering except during prolonged dry spells in spring.

Plant 'Moonblush' alongside deep burgundy or purple tulips to highlight its remarkable changing colours, or combine with blue Muscari for a beautiful late spring display.
