Delivered to you from April
White petalled, but like a petticoat, covered over in a large part by a pretty lilac to purple wash at the edges and through the centre. The effect is gorgeous. Upstanding plants with strong stems and good branching for
Tender. Store tubers dry until late March, then pot up and grow with warmth to plant out in late May. If intending planting directly into the garden wait till mid May, storing these tubers in dry, frost free conditions till then. They need planting 12-15"(30-40cm) apart in a sunny situation with good compost below them with regular dead heading in the late summer to encourage repeat flowering. Growing them initially as potted plants early in the season will give you a head start. In the winter they may need to be lifted and kept frost free, depending on the conditions. Dahlia tubers vary considerably in their form, some do not produce tidy tubers - as long as there are tubers attached even small ones will grow good plants.
