Dierama pulcherrimum

The Fairy's Fishing Rods. I love their grace and form and movement and they germinate easily and sow themselves freely in warm cracks and crevices. But they are well nigh impossible to flower in a pot  Plant the same plants out into the right situation and two years later they are as happy as Larry. These are seed raised plants very well established from 1 litre pots. They need open sunny conditions, ideally with a heat retaining wall or path nearby to provide reflected heat in the summer. They like summer moisture but no-where that floods in winter though. 

Planting Instructions

They need good soil in a sheltered setting with summer moisture and some sun.
