Elegant, fresh and wonderfully free-flowering, Narcissus 'Toto' is a delightful miniature daffodil whose pristine white petals and soft lemon-yellow trumpet bring a touch of sophistication to the early spring garden. Compact, reliable and exceptionally easy to grow, it is equally at home in borders, containers and naturalised plantings.
Introduced in the 1980s, 'Toto' is a charming hybrid renowned for its changing flower colour. The blooms first open with creamy-white petals surrounding a soft primrose-yellow trumpet, which gradually matures to almost pure white as the flowers age, creating a beautifully subtle two-tone effect. Each sturdy stem carries a perfectly proportioned flower above neat grey-green foliage, producing a display that remains fresh and attractive for weeks.
Flowering from March into April, 'Toto' is an excellent choice for rockeries, woodland gardens, patio containers and the front of borders. It naturalises readily beneath deciduous trees and through lawns, returning each spring with increasing numbers of blooms. The flowers are lightly fragrant and provide an early source of nectar for bees and other pollinating insects.
Recipient of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, 'Toto' combines beautifully with Muscari, Chionodoxa, Crocus and early tulips, adding a refined elegance to spring planting schemes.
A graceful miniature daffodil whose soft colouring and dependable performance make it a favourite for gardens of every size.
