Delightfully different and full of charm, Narcissus 'Julia Jane' is a beautiful Hoop Petticoat Daffodil (RHS Division 10), admired for its elegant, oversized trumpet and delicate, star-like petals.
Unlike traditional daffodils, 'Julia Jane' produces large, flared funnel-shaped trumpets in soft creamy-yellow to luminous lemon-yellow, surrounded by tiny, tapering outer petals that seem to dance behind the flower. This distinctive form gives the blooms the appearance of miniature golden petticoats, making them one of the most unusual and enchanting daffodils for the spring garden.
Flowering from early to mid-spring, this compact variety is perfect for rockeries, alpine gardens, containers and the front of borders. Its dwarf habit also makes it an excellent choice for naturalising in short grass or gravel gardens, where it gradually forms charming colonies over time.
Like all members of the Bulbocodium Group, 'Julia Jane' thrives in a sunny, well-drained position and is remarkably easy to grow. The cheerful flowers are highly attractive to early bees and provide valuable colour at a time when the garden is just beginning to awaken.
A delightful miniature daffodil whose unique flower shape brings elegance, character and lasting spring beauty to gardens of every size.
