Magnificent, richly coloured and wonderfully fragrant, Narcissus 'Pride of Lions' is an outstanding Large-Cupped Daffodil (RHS Division 2) that commands attention with its bold bicolour blooms.
Each substantial flower features broad, vibrant golden-yellow petals surrounding an impressive, wide, bowl-shaped trumpet. The cup opens in glowing deep tangerine-orange, gradually maturing to reveal rich reddish-orange to fiery red margins, creating an ever-changing display of warm, glowing colour as the flowers age.
Flowering in mid-spring, this exceptional variety is not only admired for its dramatic colouring but also for its delightful fragrance and excellent weather resistance. Strong stems hold the blooms proudly above fresh green foliage, making them equally suited to borders, containers and cutting gardens.
Like all daffodils, 'Pride of Lions' is easy to grow, exceptionally hardy and will return reliably each spring, gradually forming larger clumps with little maintenance. It pairs beautifully with blue Muscari, deep purple Tulips and white Narcissus varieties, where its fiery orange cup creates a spectacular contrast.
A bold and luxurious daffodil that brings warmth, fragrance and lasting beauty to the spring garden.
