Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant in autumn, ideally from late September through November, before the first hard frosts.

Where to Plant:
Choose a spot with full sun or light dappled shade. Tulips prefer well-drained soil – avoid planting in areas prone to waterlogging, especially over winter.

How to Plant:

• Depth: Plant bulbs 15cm (6 inches) deep.
• Spacing: Leave approximately 10-12cm (4–5 inches) between bulbs.
• Position: Pointed end facing upwards.

Aftercare:
Water after planting if the soil is dry. Once they bloom, allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering—this helps the bulb store energy for next year’s show. Remove the faded flower heads to avoid seed formation.

Tip: In Borders: Plant in groups of at least 10 for a natural, generous-looking clump. They work beautifully among perennials or in front of shrubs where their warm tones can shine. In Pots: Use a deep container with good drainage. Plant bulbs close together but not touching, with the same planting depth as in borders.
