Clump forming plants with very one sided pendulous reddish-purple umbels over thread like leaves. Reputed to be ideal in acidic soils and high rainfall and some shade, here they grow (as in the picture) in the open on heavy loam. They will be supplied as small clumps. They increase readily from seed but dead heading in July will put a stop to that.

Planting Instructions

Narrow leaved small Allium with purple flowes in summer, best in a sunny well drained soil or on the rockery, planted back just 1" (3cm) deep. 6" (15cm) tall and seeding about.
