This product is out of season, register and an email will be sent to you when it is available to order.

Mid - late flowering with striped flower petals, both dark blue and paler. The foliage is deciduous and this has become one of my favourites for its dark flower stems which make a vaseful stand out. From divisions.

Planting Instructions

With South African origins the Agapanthus are all sun lovers, but there they would be used to summer rainfall so we suggest they will do better where they aren't too dry. Hence lots of organic matter in the soil to hold the moisture will pay dividends. Plant the divisions 1" or 2.5cm deep in good light and they may take a year to settle in but allow for a spread of 18" (45cm) by the third year. Only in the far north would you need to consider protecting them in winter when they will be dormant. If you plant them in pots remember to protect those pots over winter, they are more cold affected than plants in the ground.
