If you want months of colour with very little fuss, the Coreopsis UpTick Collection is a brilliant choice. These compact, tidy plants are made for sunny borders and patio pots, flowering from early summer right through into early autumn with a constant stream of cheerful daisy blooms.

You’ll get three different looks in one ready-made set:

  • ‘Gold & Bronze’ – bright golden-yellow petals with a bold bronzy-red centre.
  • ‘Red’deep red flowers, often showing golden-yellow tips/centre as the season progresses.
  • ‘Yellow & Red’ – sunny yellow flowers with a rich burgundy/red centre for strong contrast.

They’re also a real win for wildlife gardens—Coreopsis is well known for being pollinator-friendly, and the UpTick series is noted for its long flowering and tidy habit.

Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant in spring or autumn, while the soil is moist and workable.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Coreopsis thrives in warmth and is ideal for mixed borders, prairie-style planting, gravel gardens, and pots and containers. For the best colour and the longest flowering, grow in full sun.

How to Plant:

  • Depth: Plant so the crown is level with the soil surface (same depth as in the pot).
  • Spacing: Space plants 30–40 cm (12–16 inches) apart for a full, bushy display.
  • Soil Prep: If your soil is heavy, mix in horticultural grit to improve drainage. A little garden compost helps establishment, but avoid over-fertile soil.

Watering:
Water well after planting. Keep watering while plants establish. Once settled, Coreopsis copes well, but will flower best with occasional watering during prolonged dry spells (especially in pots).

Aftercare Tips:

  • Deadhead spent blooms regularly to keep flowers coming for longer.
  • After the main flush, you can give plants a light trim to encourage fresh growth and repeat flowering.
  • Cut back old stems in late autumn or early spring to make way for new growth.

Top Tip:
Plant the UpTick varieties in a small drift or pot them together for a ready-made colour display. They look fantastic with Salvias, ornamental grasses, Echinacea and Verbena.
