Rosa ‘Pink Morsdag’ is a gorgeous compact patio/miniature rose that’s made for gifting—especially for Valentine’s Day. It produces masses of perfectly formed soft, romantic pink blooms in repeated flushes through the season, all set against glossy green foliage. Because it stays neat and manageable (around 40–50cm tall), it’s ideal for pots on the patio, front-of-border planting, or a sunny spot by the door where you can enjoy the flowers up close.

This is a rose that gives you that “wow, it’s flowering again!” feeling—reliable, cheerful and easy to fit into almost any garden, big or small. It also makes a lovely present because it arrives as an established plant in a 3L pot, ready to enjoy straight away and then plant on when you’re ready.

Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant into the garden or a larger container in spring or autumn when the soil is workable. If planting into a pot, you can do this almost any time, avoiding periods of frost or waterlogging.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position for the best flowering. ‘Pink Morsdag’ is ideal for pots and containers, patio planting, and the front of borders. Good airflow helps keep plants healthy, and a sheltered spot is helpful in exposed gardens.

How to Plant:

  • Depth: Plant at the same level as in the pot (top of compost level with the soil surface).
  • Spacing: Allow around 40–50 cm between plants if planting in the ground.
  • Soil Prep: Mix in well-rotted compost and, if planting in a container, use a loam-based compost for long-term planting. Ensure the pot has good drainage holes and don’t let it sit in water.

Watering:
Water thoroughly after planting. Keep the soil evenly moist while the rose establishes. Container roses need more regular watering in warm weather.

Aftercare Tips:

  • Deadhead spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering.
  • Feed with a rose fertiliser in spring and mid-summer for best performance.
  • Prune in late winter/early spring to maintain a neat, bushy shape.

Top Tip:
For a perfect Valentine’s gift display, pop the rose into a decorative pot and place it somewhere sunny. Once flowering is underway, a little deadheading keeps the blooms coming for longer.
