Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant into the garden or a larger container in spring or autumn when the soil is workable. If potting on, avoid periods of frost or waterlogging.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position for the best flowering and strongest colour. ‘Double Delight’ is ideal for pots and containers, rose beds and mixed borders. A spot with good airflow helps keep plants healthy.

How to Plant:

• Depth: Plant at the same level as in the pot (top of compost level with the soil surface).
• Spacing: Allow around 60 cm between plants if planting in the ground.
• Soil Prep: Mix in well-rotted compost. If planting in a container, use a loam-based compost and ensure the pot has good drainage holes.

Watering:
Water thoroughly after planting. Keep the soil evenly moist while the rose establishes. Container roses need more regular watering in warm weather.

Aftercare Tips:

• Deadhead spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering.
• Feed with a rose fertiliser in spring and again in mid-summer for best performance.
• Prune in late winter/early spring to keep a neat, bushy shape and remove dead or crossing stems.
