Rosa ‘Waltz Time’ (3 Litre Rosepot) — Valentine’s Day Rose

Rosa ‘Waltz Time’ is a wonderfully romantic rose with truly distinctive colouring—silvery-mauve to lilac blooms that look almost “antique” and change subtly as they open. The flowers are fully double and fragrant, produced in clusters, and it repeat-flowers through summer into autumn, giving a long season of interest in the garden.

It makes a gorgeous Valentine’s gift because it’s unusual, elegant, and easy to place—ideal for a patio pot, a sunny doorway, or the front of a border. Supplied in a 3L rosepot, it arrives as an established plant, ready to enjoy straight away and then plant on when conditions are mild. 

Planting Instructions

When to Plant:

Plant into the garden or a larger container in spring or autumn when the soil is workable. If potting on, avoid periods of frost or waterlogging.

Where to Plant:
Choose a sunny position for the best flowering. ‘Waltz Time’ is ideal for pots and containers, front borders and rose beds. A spot with good airflow helps keep plants healthy, and a little shelter is useful in very exposed gardens.

How to Plant:

• Depth: Plant at the same level as in the pot (top of compost level with the soil surface).
• Spacing: Allow around 45–60 cm between plants if planting in the ground.
• Soil Prep: Mix in well-rotted compost. If planting in a container, use a loam-based compost and ensure the pot has good drainage holes.

Watering:
Water thoroughly after planting. Keep the soil evenly moist while the rose establishes. Container roses need more regular watering in warm weather.

Aftercare Tips:

• Deadhead spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering.
• Feed with a rose fertiliser in spring and again in mid-summer for best performance.
• Prune in late winter/early spring to remove dead or crossing stems and to keep a neat, bushy shape.

Top Tip:
The silvery-mauve flowers of ‘Waltz Time’ look stunning with whites, pale pinks and silvery foliage. For the best colour, give it plenty of sun and keep deadheading to extend the show.
